I'm not sure if we belong here, if I ever really left, or If I can go home.I am almost done another full edit, only about ten chapters to go, which isn't far considering I am sixty chapters in.Is it weird to enjoy your own writing? People always say 'write what you want to read' and that's something I have always stuck with, but you hear more often than not about writers who can't look at their manuscripts anymore. Sure there are some parts I am sick of, but those are the parts that are getting cut. I thoroughly enjoy my story, maybe I am just weird.
I guess if I am not sick of it after ten years, I don't know if I ever will be.
A friend of mine is helping with the editing, which is nice since he actually knows what he's doing and went to school for journalism. I'll be the first to admit that my grammar is no great work of art.
On another note, we got a place in Vancouver, we go in on Friday to sign the contract and then we move at the end of the month. It's scary, I have never lived in a big city before, but I suppose it can only be a good thing?
As long as our lives our settled by then, I am still planning on going to Cos & Effect in mid August, sadly I haven't had the time or the funds to make a costume though. I figure I might throw together something just for shits and giggles. Josie, a friend from my childhood, may be visiting and we joked how I should make Rain's costume and advertise my book, which is actually a very interesting prospect and might be something I do in the future. I have never worked with real leather or made a jacket, but it could be fun? The jacket is gorgeous, I would love to have one:
Anyways, I suppose I should get back to writing. A side note, I wrote a few paragraphs for my next novel, The Photographer, I'm excited to work on that book once I am all done with Rain.204,194
